Rotomac Escalator Cleaning Technology
The Rotomac escalator cleaning products are manufactured in Germany with the highest standards. They are specific to escalators and are the best in the world, automatically and simultaneously deep cleaning both horizontal and vertical parts of the escalator step without interfering with the escalator itself. Compared to conventional cleaning methods (tiresome cleaning by hand), the Rotomac is ergonomically comfortable and provides fast, reliable, and extremely thorough cleaning of all visible step surfaces. Duplex Escalator Cleaning Support
The Duplex 420/550 is manufactured in Italy and offers escalator cleaning services that support the Rotomac machines. This machine can be used for both wet and dry cleaning for both escalator steps and horizontal people-moving sidewalks.
Advantages of Duplex
- OFFSET BRUSHES: The machine will clean into corners and up to skirting without leaving brush marks or splashes on vertical surfaces.
- TWO WAY HANDLE: Allows two-way operations without lifting or turning.
- DOUBLE WASHING ACTION SYSTEM: The powerful action of two roller-type brushes with opposed rotation at 650 rpm and a surface speed of 5 meters per second guarantees an efficient mechanical washing action.
- BRUSH DIAMETER: Large diameter brushes give higher surface speeds and reduced working time.
- BRUSH MOUNTING SYSTEM: Eliminates vibration and bouncing, allowing a quick, simple brush change without the problems caused by corroded spindles/axles.
- DUAL DIRT COLLECTION: Two conveyor belts, one for each brush, ensure an extremely efficient pick-up system. The dirty solution is thrown by centrifugal force by both brushes into the conveyor belts and then collected in the recovery tank.
- DUAL CLEANING SOLUTION APPLICATION: Two cleaning solution tanks allow each brush to be fed simultaneously with a constant flow of clean solution, giving a more even distribution and ensuring an equally efficient operation in each direction.
- LIFT OUT TANKS: The clean water tanks simply lift out of the machine and are not impeded by cables or fixed valves, making them extremely easy to clean.
- RECOVERY TANK: The recovery tank is situated in the center of the machine between the conveyor belts. Dirty solution, hair, grease, fat, etc., are efficiently removed by two trimmer blades.
- MOP UP/ MOP DOWN FACILITY: By moving one switch, the machine can scrub down without picking up the cleaning solution, allowing for thorough agitation to ensure maximum penetration. Switching back to the “pick-up” mode re-agitates and collects the dirty solution, or by applying clean water through the machine, scrubs, rinses, and dries.
- BALANCED USE: The location of the two clean water tanks, each of equal weight and resting directly over the brushes, gives perfect balance. The collection tank in the center of the machine aids the even distribution of weight, resulting in a very “operator-friendly” machine that is extremely easy to use. Older type designs with a clean water tank at the front and the recovery tank at the rear create weight variation across the brushes during the cleaning operation.
- BRUSH REMOVAL: Hollow brushes ensure ease of cleaning and are quickly removed using a standard 6mm Allen key (supplied) to loosen two screws.
